Shopping for the Fancy Pantsy Person in Your Life

Posted November 24, 2020

Think of them as the “Moira Rose” in your life. The entire Rose family of Schitt’s Creek, for that matter. (Writer’s Note: If you don’t watch Schitt’s Creek, you should). ANYWAY. This person is fancy and peculiar. They love the finest red wine and holding the glass from the bottom, not the stem. They pride themselves at staying at the chicest hotels and the best spots on the coast for oysters. You love to be around them because they truly respect the finer things in life, like an art. However, when it comes to giving them gifts, they are the toughest giftees of their kind. How will you find them something they wouldn’t just buy themselves? Well, fancy is as fancy does. And we have a great list to get you started.

1. Frosty Champagne Glasses from Rose & Loon

These unique, frosty glasses are the perfect gift to get for someone that’s fancy. They’d be perfect for a cocktail party or slow Saturday night champagne sipper. All of their equally fancy guests will be aweing, and they will be thinking of YOU who made that where-did-you-get-that moment happen. They’re so gorgeous and high quality and we’re loving the gold rims.

2. A classic card case.

We need a classy gift for the fancy dudes too. And you can never go wrong with a wallet. We love this COACH card case from Von Maur because it’s unique and classic. Even the most lavish man rarely treats himself to a new manly accessory, and this one will have him wishing he had sooner. Oh – and it’s available for in-store pickup!

3. Any perfume from Von Maur (personal favorite is the new “Roses de Chloe” line).

Looking for a fancy perfume for the fancy gal in your life? A fresh, flirty rose scent is one of the best. It’s generic enough that it could work for anyone and it’s a classy option, too. Sephora is stacked with a bunch of scents from their line – so you can pick and choose as you please!

4. A set of bamboo brushes.

This might be an item the fancy person in your life might not expect. These brushes though, are phenomenal – and they’re reasonably priced. Since Rose and Loon sells good from all over Minnesota, local pair Jordan and Alex of Bamboo Switch pay close attention to protecting their planet. All the bamboo is ethically harvested and processed and does not harm the habitat of any endangered species. And the brushes have high quality bristles. They sell other things, too! All natural tooth brushes, a charcoal soap bar and all natural teeth whitening powder.

5. Snakeskin booties from Altar’d State.

These are an easy quick favorite. Snakeskin is all the rage right now, and booties are perfect for any season. Booties are great for battling a snowy walk through a winterfest, or for heading to that christmas celebration where you have to impress his mother-in-law. For a fresh $70 (if you know this fancy person’s shoe size) you can buy them the most versatile pair of shoes out there!

6. Classy hostess accessories from Macy’s.

Macy’s is a great place in Rosedale Mall to shop for fancy host accessories. We know the fancy people in our life love to be the hostess with the mostest. Think: these high-class Elrene golden napkins with these beautiful hammered napkin rings.

7. This gold puffer jacket, for sure.

Evereve’s ANORAK Metallic Hero Jacket is as fancy as it gets. And fun! It’s lightweight and versatile – something that a fancy person in your life can wear on a casual weekend afternoon. And psst…it’s on sale right now!

8. This DKNY Bryant Leather backpack.

The most beautiful backpack you’ll ever see! Find her at Macy’s and get your fancy friend their favorite casual purse companion.
