Macy’s Backstage Retail Concept at Rosedale Center

Macy’s Backstage is here at Rosedale Center! This means more variety, more foot traffic, and even more eager shoppers on the hunt for off-price deals.

So, what exactly is Macy’s Backstage?

Prior to the pandemic, the iconic brand decided that rather than competing with outlet retailers offering lower price tags, they’d join forces and give customers an opportunity to explore a variety of products and brands—all in one convenient store location.

The result? Though the pandemic did slow down their new store concept at the beginning, it looks like Macy’s is back on track with their original plan to open up over 270 shops within Macy locations across the United States. And Rosedale is proud to be one of them!

In a previous article, we discussed the retail concept of a store within a store. Macy’s Backstage works much in the same way, as the discounted items arriving everyday aren’t Macy’s products at all. Instead, they’re a combination of products from other retailers, all selected by Macy’s team based on affordability and what’s on trend.

This means even if you’re not traditionally a Macy’s shopper, you can still find clothes, cosmetics, electronics, home decor essentials, and other popular merchandise at an unbeatable price.

To learn more about how this concept works, including how they’re utilizing social media influencers to help promote and sell merchandise from backstage, check out Macy’s Backstage FAQs page.

Can Macy’s Store Concept Benefit Your Brand?

So, now we know how this store within a store will benefit customers. The next question you might be asking is how it will impact your business?

At Rosedale Center, we’re always looking to create new experiences for our guests that have them staying longer and exploring more of our shopping center. Having a Macy’s Backstage location will not only draw in more customers to check out new arrivals and what’s on trend that day, but it will also put your business front and center to all that incoming foot traffic.

Rosedale Center already offers a diverse range of popular retailers, restaurants, and events, all in one central, social hotspot. Macy’s Backstage is yet another exciting offering to add to our long list of reasons why people come to our center.

When shoppers have more options and more variety, they don’t just drop by and leave after an hour; instead, they plan to spend the day at Rosedale. And the longer they stay, the more likely they are to purchase more products. In fact, over 60% of customers admitted to buying more than they originally attended during an in-store shopping experience. And 67% of customers admitted that they purchased a product in store while returning another (Salesforce).

If you’re a retail business or brand, that gives you a unique opportunity to attract more shoppers with special promotions and one-of-kind experiences.

Rosedale Is More Than a Mall. It’s a Shopping Destination
